Blue John Media is delighted to announce the fantastic world renowned blues/roots musicians John Miller and Grant Dermody will be performing a concert in the Isle of Man, British Isles, on Friday, July 27 2018. They will be appearing at the wonderful Centenary Centre in Peel.
John - described by the late great John Fahey as 'just brilliant' - is an incredible acoustic guitar player and singer who is also known for his very popular tuition DVDs for Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop on the playing of Mississippi John Hurt, Bo Carter, Robert Wilkins, Furry Lewis and other country blues greats.
Grant is an incredibly soulful harmonica player and singer who is also one of the world's best blues harmonica teachers. Eric Bibb said about him: 'Grant Dermody is one of the greatest blues and roots harmonica players around.' This is only one of two shows they are performing together in the British Isles before teaching guitar and harmonica at Blues Week in Gloucester,UK.
Tickets for the Isle of Man show are £15 (£12 concessions) and are available from Celtic Gold, Peel, Shakti Man, Ramsey and from John Gregory by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org They will also be available online at www.etickets.im/bjm in the next few days (full price tickets only).
The support act for the show is Isle of Man blues duo Blue John and Papa Cass who have previously opened shows for Joe Filisko and Eric Noden, Ari Eisinger, Michael Messer, Martin Taylor and Marcus Bonfanti, among others.
